I said I was going to to to keep up with my days down in Fife and on the 26th, I created my next post ….
Only I didn’t. I was doing it all on my Android phone and made two mistakes.
- I didn’t check what I was creating
- I created a page, not a post
- (I thought there were two?)
- I tried correcting it with copy and paste ….. on my phone
So here we are almost one week later, back home and attempting to fix that / those mistakes.
Ah the joys 🙂
My apologies if you were actually following my days, normal service will resume today, one week late 🙂
Suffice to say, it was a really good week for walks and wanderings and for photography and birding so, see you in a wee while with Sunday 26th.

I am glad I am not the only one who prefers a computer to a phone. I find phones fiddly, clumsy, and often lacking some of the functionality i rely on on the computer. I also hate the feeling of diving into a tiny screen to get anything done.

I completely agree. I’d also add that viewing Brian’s photographs on a phone, scrolling past them like TikTok videos, doesn’t really do them justice. His images deserve to be looked at on a larger screen, where you can appreciate the details, composition and atmosphere he worked so hard to create, rather than simply swiping to the next one.

I only access the WordPress content from my Mac, and use a gallery with one photo in it for each of the images on my blog to enable the photos to be viewed full screen.

I try to do the same David, I rarely use Image, people can’t enlarge those. I have tried sharing from Flickr, for example as a central repository but that brings issues with it.

Thank you very much Marc, much appreciated. I often despair of those garish, blurry images with huge amounts of “Likes” and wows because too many these days only ever view images on their mobiles. Hence I don’t do Insta etc.

Definitely with you there David, mobiles have their place, which most or too many people forget, they’re a great tool but should NEVER be master of your time. I haven’t had a laptop or tablet for a long time and keep convincing myself I don’t need one …. when I’m at home.
