😉 It’s pouring today and looks like it intends to carry on all day, possibly all week! It’s good for the plants, the soil and I can sit here at my Mac, in my wee “den” listening to good music and editing the wayyyyy too many images I have in backlog.
As I was looking through those I got yesterday, I came across a few that I got of a young Carrion Crow that had decided to flee the nest and step out into the big wide world. It’s brothers / sisters were still in the tree not far from the scene of its escape bid and ma ‘n’ pa weren’t far away. This is just across the reed beds from my wildlife camera site and I have seen one of the adults head over there as soon as I walk away, I drop some food there on most visits, they’re not daft these Corvids 🙂
So I spotted this bird on the side of an uprooted tree, next to their nest/home.

I don’t know how long it had been there but it wasn’t looking too worried.

Higher and higher they climbed! A better vantage point was required?

“That’s better, right, what’s out there?”

The intrepid bird heads out into the big world …..

Muuuuuuum!!!!!
Couldn’t resist 🙂
