October Sky

We were away from the house for a few days as October started and of course Amy had some say in our weekend activity. It’s been windy and pretty varied in weather terms, it’s windy and blowing that very wetting, misty rain across the land as I look out right now, probably glorious later, who knows? I might let you know 🙂

However, I was out walking for a few of the past days as mentioned in my patch walk pages but, yesterday morning when I first stumbled out of the arms of Morpheus and looked out the back, I was welcomed by this sight.

Needless to say, I grabbed the camera, left lying on the table for this very reason and headed outside, in my flip-flops and goonie again! (dressing gown)

These at 07:53. I was wandering up and down the back garden, looking, grabbing shots, I LOVE that biog sky.

I could hear the geese calling as they headed our way.

Some heading out for the day, not sure where they head to but, generally fly back over in the evening.

How many people on our poor battery planet never even notice this stuff? I now remember enjoying the sky, the light, the weather but, it was limited by houses all around.

The shadow of the Ash at the back of the house casts a long shadow over the field.

As I glanced around, I noticed a wee patch of mist or low cloud sitting in the dip in the hill.

The tree shadow pointing it out for me.

The lines left by the tractor always catch my eye.

All of these took just 18 minutes before the call for coffee and toast overwhelmed me 🙂

Just to top off a very varied day, I wandered out into the dreich of evening around 16:15, quarter after four 😉

What a sky! Those clouds, kind of eerie, ominous but beautiful.

I have SO many shots of this view, many I throw away, they just don’t translate well into an image but, I’ll keep looking, keep enjoying and photographing.

Hope you enjoy too 🙂
