Yes, one of those pick’n’mix weather days. Guess where I’m sitting?
At the Mac, typing and editing photos oh, took some more too. It’s all that feeding activity out there, either feeding youngsters here or whizzing back to the nest / fledging site. Lots of photos ahead!
Daily listening this morning is Long Goodbyes Radio, it’s a song by Camel and rips my heart out every time I hear the guitar break. Went to see them a few years back and it was the most emotional concert I’d ever attended, I was howling several times, Andy Latimer really knows the subtlety of light and dark in a guitar solo! Music should do that for us all.
We almost got to see them again in 2023 but the tour had to be cancelled, Andy has had back trouble for some time and it flared up again. I was really up for that concert, especially as the tickets didn’t cost an arm and a leg. Talking of which, I heard on our radio a couple of days ago that the Doobies are coming over AND, are playing in Glasgow!!!! I had always wanted to see the Doobie Brothers, I still haven’t found out (for now) whether they ever toured the UK before, anyway, I checked the tickets sites.
Not only do tickets cost a fortune now, I listened to the latest albums so, the price, the thought of being crammed next to some half drunk idiot in a sea of sweaty humanity, we’re giving them a miss.
We kind of stopped concerting after a few more local gigs were basically ruined for me by a few who turned up to drink, party and behave like they were in their local, rather than there to hear a band.
Sad but, life today 😦
