You may not remember but when I left you, I was down at the ponds, I’d just been admiring an Autumnal Acorn; I followed the tree line all the way round and back to the lane, not a path I take very often and one reason was that I started counting the apple trees on the patch. I’d reached five and was walking along glancing into the woods beside me, that’s where all the apples are, when I heard a screeching sound. I stopped, opened Merlin on my phone to help ID the screeches, maybe a young Sparrowhawk? It’s been getting progressively colder all week and a week of very mixed weather, we had storm somebody or other, blew a hoollie ALL night then the next day was post-storm windy day, certainly clearing leaves off the Autumnal trees. it was a reasonably clear night, they’ve been mostly cloudy recently so, I set up a camera out on the patio, looking North West ish with my usual overnight time-lapse lens fitted, a Viltrox 13mm 1.4 so pretty wide and fixed or, Prime in Nikon terms and let it run. … More What a Lemmon!
Looks like last week started busy, I have a feeling the weather was much better as the week began, especially when I look back at the photos as I edit them. The news of the week was the confirmed sighting of the leucistic, all white Chaffinch near the end of our lane so, several of my walks ended down there in my attempts to get some shots of it, I will be back π … More Weekly Digest
