Wildlife on the Patch

I’m going to attempt to embed my nature clips from the wildlife camera and, perhaps separately, some clips I’ve recorded myself.

I’m saying attempt, I’m not sure how it will all behave for those of you trying to watch them?

Maybe I should publish a couple, see how it goes?

Can I ask for some feedback, whether it all works ok for you?

This is a set of clips I’ve collected up of what appears to be the only Badger in that area. There are several other Badger setts around …… I need more cameras šŸ˜‰

Collected Badger clips

The following is from December 2025 and shows a few clips of different beasties caught at my cam site. Can you spot and ID them all? Some are hazy because of the temperature misting the lens šŸ™‚

Collected wildlife – December

January 4th 2026 – The following clip was taken at the the old Oak feeding post, that’s where i try to visit every day and the birds start to gather as I arrive and follow me up to the post šŸ™‚

Can you ID all of them?

Visitors to the old Oak feeding post

January 4th 2026 – The next clip is my absolute favourite so far. I have never seen a Stoat in its Winter coat before. Was that a poem? I would LOVE to stay over there for as long as it takes, to get some shots of it. We’ll see.

January 7th 2026 – There’s a family of Red-legged Partridge that have discovered the food i drop off here, I now have a LOT of clips of them and Pheasant!!

By the way, it’s worth noting the temperature on the camera, where you can see it šŸ™‚ Get chilly down there at night!

I think I’ll leave it there for now. Thank you to all who participate.

  1. I really enjoyed the footage Brian, the moments and behaviour are great. Personally, I find 10+ minutes a bit long for wildlife videos; my attention tends to drift after a while. It might be interesting to experiment with shorter ā€˜shorties’ or highlights. That could also make it easier to keep them more species-specific, like deer, badger, etc. Same content, just more focused and easier to digest. Just a thought. Have a great day ! Marc.

    1. I saw the comment from Marc and checked the first one Kiki, it’s too long, I’ll edit the page and sort that out, thank you for the info. Are you just clicking on them or opening them? šŸ™‚
