Early one morning

Just as the sun was rising …

This morning actually! October 20th, maybe not so early though?

I stumbled through from the bedroom, looked out the back windows…

There was a lovely hint of pink in some of the clouds to the North, I didn’t even notice the hint of rainbow! What I did see was enough for me to grab a camera and head out front. Ooooooooh!

So, once again, flip-flops and dressing gown standing in a field 🙂

I absolutely love a sunrise / sunset where you get that almost ethereal glow in an otherwise dark morning or evening, kind of eerie.

I was heading back inside when I finally noticed the rainbow.

I was only inside for around 4 minutes before I glanced out my front window. Out again, quickly! As I headed out the door, the back view caught me first …

The haar (morning mist) was creeping in even more but out front …

The rising sun was glowing through the haar.

The sun was slowly working its way into the sky beyond the trees on the other side of the valley.

So I took a set of shots for a panorama, the mist had been thickening in the low lying areas.

Then the sun put in an appearance.

The mist was absolutely beautiful and, as I later realised, there was a fine smirry rain falling so, one more panorama set and I’d head in.

An almost 180 degree shot or set of shots which I had to sit here and spot out all the rain spots showing from the lens 😦

Heading for the back door

OK, one more set for a pano looking out towards the glens, beautiful and a wee bit chilly, I might add 🙂

So that was my morning between 8:05 and 8:24. I have now cleaned off the lens in preparation for ……… who knows?
