We went for a walk yesterday, starting in the Cafe in the Square in town for a sandwich, then along the Burn to the Den of Alyth
The burn often has Dippers in it so walking through town you can watch / photograph them, although many don’t know they are there or, what they are!
Today we saw no Dippers but did spot a couple of lost looking juvenile Black-headed Gulls paddling at the edge.

A little farther upstream sat a pair of mallard ducks, dozing on a small weir.
He did not look happy to be disturbed!
So that was the start of the walk, before we’d left town!
