Our Garden Visitors (P)

Well, who’d have thought it? No N or O birds visit gardens, certainly not this garden! So right on to P and there are a couple that drop by from time to time, keeping in mind, we live in the country and on a working farm.

Pheasant

Yes, we get Pheasant among our garden visitors, right outside my window in fact and are they funny to watch? Oh yes!

See! Standing on the lip of our pretty cheap bird bath and only just getting away without wearing it, I don’t think it was pinned down at this point.

And right outside my window.

In the rain!

Those head feathers, like a poorly Brylcreemed wig! 🙂

There’s one visiting this last few days AND, bringing a lady friend 😉 I’ll try for a photo some morning soon.

Pied Wagtail

Our first year here, a pair of waggies dropped in quite often and even brought a youngster to the garden, they’ve either been coming back every year or, Pied Wagtails visit us every year.

I assumed these were a pair and they did bring a youngster in later.

That shot from 2022 on the patio outside our kitchen!

They really are gorgeous wee birds, never stop bobbing their tails.

This year, they are back but, one of them has taken a liking to our patio windows and our car windscreen! It means he or she is right outside our window for half the day, or on our car bonnet! (Hood) 😉

They’ve been spotted across on a rock pile in the farm yard, either nest building or scrounging up nesting materials from it.

Looking forward to seeing young again this year perhaps?
