We call it the Moon, it is of course, just A moon, it’s simply because we only have the one that we call it THE Moon.
I’ve been taking advantage of this latest spate of clear evenings to get a few shots each day / evening / night, depending on circumstance, light etc.
I popped out last night, the 7th, because I’d been looking at it all day, the night was clear and the Moon looked really clear too.
The current phase is what is known as a waxing gibbous moon! Growing and fuller than a half moon.
I often take several different exposure shots, to try and capture it as I see it and also to capture it showing more detail.

That shot being taken a little faster, to dull down the brightness and show off the detail.
I was clicking away, when something passed through my line of vision.

I kept clicking, not sure what I’d just seen but, as you can see, it was a BA jet, probably from Aberdeen and probably heading for London.

The same shot, now cropped to centre the Moon. Because I felt like it …

…. a black and white version.
Sometimes in photography, the right place at the right time can be applied? 😉
A very good shot indeed

I LOVE the moon. Your photos are so clear the jet looks like a toy airplane! Nothing beats being in the right place at the right time.

Thank you Barb and so true, I’ve always wanted one of those ISS / Aircraft passing over the Moon shots but, happy with good Moon shots 🙂
