This would appear to be the first date I went back up to the feeding post, which is a good thing for you all, way too many shots from this area.
That said, I do love just standing up there watching and listening, so much to see and it’s usually very quiet and peaceful.
A few shots of the lead up to the area first.

I think of that space as a portal out to another world, we live hidden behind it.
That gnarly old Ash is slowly dying, as are they all but it’s a great perch for the Buzzards!
There’s a junction in the lane, this down to the road and our mailbox, the other to a road and our bins! I also have a feeding post at the junction, it’s where a few birds seem to gather as I walk up there.

It was here that the first Robin dropped onto my hand as soon as I put it out there with some food!
There are pairs of Great, Coal and Blue Tits that drop by and wait to be fed here.

The Great Tits are always the most shy of approaching.
Up at the Oak feeding post, about 100 yds further up the lane, towards the portal, the Red Squirrel was already in the area, just playing hard to get.

I think it was actually heading off elsewhere when I got there, it ran along the fence line and disappeared.
The Nuthatch dropped by and hung around on the tree above me for a while.

The Coal Tits were whizzing out and in as ever.

There are a few Blue Tits up there now.

There are also a couple of Robins now that don’t get on in the usual Robin way, they don’t!

I spent a bit of time watching the Nuthatch foraging for locations to hide its finds.

There are now times when I just stand back and watch all the activity.
I headed back, early for some reason? maybe I’d been given a chore list? 😉
The Robin at the junction popped up to see what I had.

And that was it for the day, there may be other days, of course 😉
