Mum and I took a run to Nairn for a different walk, who knows? Maybe even a bag of chips? 🙂
It was mid-afternoon and still blooming chilly but we had a walk along the West beach and back.

The sky was absolutely beautiful, subtle colours and great clouds. I didn’t take many shots, it was too cold and nothing much leapt out at me to be honest but, on the way back along the promenade a few things did!

A scattered flock of Redwing were feeding on the grass at the back of the shore, quite a surprise to see them here, another chap walking behind us with camera and binoculars couldn’t quite believe they were there! Of course dog walkers and children meant they didn’t stay around for long.

I loved the carved wooden bench on the shore and the Fishwife sculpture.

My great Aunt followed the fishing boats when she was younger, heck of a life!

And that was it, we headed back to the car and back to Ardersier where I had to go out again to keep an eye on the setting sun.
Now. Perhaps I should apologise for what is about to be shared here? I am quite often blown away by a good sunset, not just over Ardersier but anywhere. I’ve stood on the S. shore at Llandudno watching the sun set over Anglesey until I couldn’t feel my extremities any more. I just can’t walk away!

As you can see, I’m quite partial to a panorama. At this point, I didn’t really think of this as that special, still well worth being out for though.

The Caledonian canal and Loch Ness lie down that way.

It was getting darker, colder and much, much quieter, very few out walking now.

I turned to look around d me and there was colour everywhere!

Can you see a lady reclining in those clouds?

It was quite eerie, getting darker with this red glow above.

I was walking back now, very cold and, maybe, had enough shots? 😉
